Product description

Clean Air CB/CE 6 cytotoxic biological safety cabinet with HEPA-filtered downflow, UV function, alarms and 1,900 mm width.

The Clean Air CB/CE 6 cytotoxic biological safety cabinet is designed for work with microbiological, cytotoxic and other hazardous materials in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories. Controlled inward airflow protects the operator, while HEPA-filtered vertical downflow protects the product and filtered exhaust air protects the laboratory environment.

The cabinet includes integrated lighting, a UV function, gas and service connections, and electrical outlets in the working area. High and low alarms monitor inflow and downflow. Front window monitoring is also included. Two Ziehl-Abegg fans support the airflow system.

The used cabinet was professionally validated on 13 January 2026. Filter testing, air velocity measurement and smoke testing were completed, and the cabinet was approved. It is in good operational condition. The next validation is indicated for January 2027.

What these specifications mean

DIN 12980 is specifically intended for safety cabinets used with cytotoxic and other CMR substances. The additional DIN 12950 and BS 5726 references define the stated compliance framework for this cabinet.

The separate HEPA-filtered downflow, controlled inflow and filtered exhaust paths address product, operator and environmental protection within the same enclosure. High and low airflow alarms monitor the inflow and downflow conditions during operation.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
