Product description

Sapphire ICP-MS injector with 0.5 mm ID for Thermo Element 2 PFA spray chambers.

The AHF Sapphire Injector 856-12 is an ICP-MS sample introduction component designed for the PFA spray chamber of the Thermo Element 2 ICP-MS system. Manufactured from high-purity synthetic sapphire, this injector provides high chemical resistance to acids, bases, and organic solvents, together with thermal stability for reliable plasma operation.

Its precisely formed internal cavity supports consistent gas and sample delivery, contributing to reproducible spray performance and analytical results in elemental analysis and trace-metal research.

Technical specifications:

  • Material: High-purity synthetic sapphire; described as synthetic, pressed algine
  • Inner diameter (ID): 0.5 mm
  • Outside diameter (OD): Approximately 1.0 mm
  • Length: Approximately 50 mm
  • Connection: Standard PFA injection holder for Thermo Element 2
  • Compatibility: Thermo Element 2 ICP-MS and PFA spray chamber
  • Chemical resistance: Resistant to acids, bases, and organic solvents
  • Temperature tolerance: Up to ≥ 800 °C
  • Precision: High-reproducibility inner cavity for consistent spray performance

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
