About this role
At Questpair, we’re building Europe’s number one marketplace for lab equipment, with customers and suppliers all over the world. We’re growing fast, and to keep up we’re looking for a Junior Sales Specialist: someone who picks up the phone without hesitation, speaks excellent English, and gets a kick out of getting things done.
You’ll work directly with our sales and technical team, from the first quote to the moment the equipment arrives at a lab. That means talking to customers and suppliers worldwide, and arranging everything in between: purchases, inspections, transport, customs paperwork, and follow-up. No prior sales experience is required, but you do need to be eager to learn. We’ll teach you the equipment and the market, and as the company grows, you grow with it.
Hybrid: at least 3 days per week in the ’s-Hertogenbosch office.
What you’ll do
- Respond to quote requests from labs, universities, and biotech companies worldwide, and keep every customer updated by phone and email.
- Prepare quotes and sales orders, and follow up on open deals until they close.
- Arrange the logistics behind every deal: purchasing from suppliers, inspections and checks, transport, and customs paperwork.
- Call suppliers, carriers, and customers to get answers fast and keep shipments moving.
- Keep our CRM accurate so the whole team knows where every deal and shipment stands.
- Learn the lab equipment market from our technical specialists: brands, models, applications, and pricing.
What you bring
- Excellent spoken and written English; you’re confident on the phone with people anywhere in the world.
- You love picking up the phone. Calling a supplier, a carrier, or a customs broker is the fastest way to get an answer, and you know it.
- A hands-on, get-it-done attitude: you follow up, chase loose ends, and don’t let a shipment stall.
- Organised and precise, with several deals in flight at once, each with its own paperwork and deadlines.
- Eager to learn: science, lab equipment, new countries and their rules, every week.
- A proven track record and/or accomplishments that make you potentially suitable for this position.
- Commitment to the hybrid work model (at least 3 office days per week).
- Legal authorisation to work in The Netherlands.
- Bonus: affinity for instrumentation, lab equipment, science & technology.
- Bonus: French, German, or another language next to English.
- Bonus: experience with international shipping, customs, or purchasing.
