This Carl Padberg Zentrifugenbau LE was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requir (more)ements. The cosmetic condition of this item is fairly good and it has powered on. We set the unit to 20,000rpm. It does ramp up quite slowly to speed. It reached 21,000+ and started to hold speed. We're not sure how accurate the speed adjustment is. It didn't seem to fully hold at 20,000rpm, it kept slowly rising. The belt looks like it needs replacing too. For this reason, It is sold for spare/repairs The speed range is from 15000 to 40000 rpm. The unit powers up and was tested with a Beckman 70.1 Ti rotor from another item (Not included), but would not reach over 3000rpm (Rotor max is 10000). We suspect there is a vacuum issue as the vacuum light flashed red during testing. The system also will not cool down. It is in otherwise good cosmetic condition. It is sold for spares/repairs.
