Vacuum pumps

Vacuum pumps are used to remove gas (often air) from a volume to create a partial vacuum. There are various types of vacuum pumps which are suitable to operate under different conditions and have different pumping capacities. In experiments that involve hazardous substances, it is important to consider chemical resistance and durability.

Wet gas vacuum pump Laboport SD N 860.3 FT.40.18 KNF-cover
Wet gas vacuum pump Laboport SD N 860.3 FT.40.18 KNF

Laboport SD N 860.3 FT.40.18 is a two-stage pump with an integrated “self-drying” system for automat (more)ic condensate drain. The “SD” series is widely used in laboratories, especially when the vapors are humid and a clean and ecological vacuum is required. Typical applications are: vacuum ovens (for drying chemicals, drying biological samples, heat treatments), autoclaves for sterilizing instruments, containers, filters and textiles. Thanks to the use of anti-corrosion materials, it is possible to vacuum even corrosive products. The heart of the pump is the diaphragm with differentiated structure in PTFE, optimized to guarantee high performance with reduced dimensions and at the same time, long life even in heavy applications. When the humid gases are sucked in, it can happen that condensation forms in the pump head: consequently the performance decreases, considerably increasing the emptying time. To eliminate condensation, the 'drying system' then opens a solenoid valve that allows ambient air to enter the heads. Once the condensation has been eliminated, the solenoid valve closes and the pump sucks from the stove in full capacity. Over time, condensation could form again and then the cycle is repeated. The time interval between one cycle and the next can be adjusted as desired, as well as the duration of the air injection. Technical features Flow rate (max.) 60 l / min Final vacuum (max.) 4 mbar (abs.) Pressure (max.) 1 bar (rel.) Fluid temperature allowed at 5-40°C FFPM valve material PTFE coated diaphragm material Pump head material PTFE Applications Rotary evaporation Centrifugal concentration Distillation Vacuum oven Qualitative characteristics Clean operation, 100% oil-free Corrosion resistant PTFE / FFPM flow path Ideal for extremely aggressive / corrosive gases and vapors Compact, silent and reliable The self-drying system removes condensation without altering the vacuum level Maintenance free Download the data sheet for further information and accessories. Edwards nEXT85H NW40 NW16 80W Turbomolecular Vacuum Pump-cover
Edwards nEXT85H NW40 NW16 80W Turbomolecular Vacuum Pump

Edwards nEXT85H NW40 NW16 80W Turbomolecular Vacuum Pump Ultimate Vacuum <5x10-9 mbar Inlet Conne (more)ction NW40 Pumping Speed Nominal 2,820.00 l/min Features - Combines oil-lubricated ceramic and dry permanent magnetic bearings for enhanced durability - Built-in electronics for streamlined operation and easy integration with control systems - Enhances speed and compression efficiency for a wide range of applications - Allows for in-field replacement of oil cartridges and bearings with minimal tools - Offers standard, high light gas compression, and additional regenerative stage options for specific needs - Provides superior compression performance for various gases - Ensures efficient operation with reduced electrical interference - Magnetic bearings reduce noise and vibration, ensuring a stable vacuum environment The nEXT 85H pumps consist of the turbomolecular pump with a permanently attached controller containing drive electronics. The controller controls the electrical supply to the pump with the exception of standby speed control. It has no manual controls and can only be operated through the logic interface. To operate the nEXT-85 H pump you must connect it to your own control equipment and power supply or alternatively use the Edwards TIC Turbo Instrument Controller or TIC Turbo Controller. nEXT 85H pumps are supllied with an inlet-screen fitted into the centering O-ring for ISO version pumps and into envelope for CF version pumps. nEXT85 pumps with an NW 25 interstage-port are supplied with an inlet-strainer that fits into the interstage-port. The inlet-screen and inlet-strainer protect the pump against damage that would be caused by debris entering the pump. The nEXT 85 H pumps have a vent-port for venting the pump and vacuum system to atmospheric pressure. The pump is supplied with a manual vent-vavle fitted; this can be replaced with a TAV5 or TAV6 solenoid-operated vent-valve. The TAV valve can be directly controlled by the on-board controller. The nEXT pumps have a purge-port: an inert purge gas can be introduced protect the bearing and motor from corrosion. An optional vent-port adapter and purge restrictor can be fitted to the purge-port to control the flow rate of the purge gas and to filter the gas supply.
