None of these items have been tested at our site - it is likely that some will be spares/repairs, but we anticipate that a reasonable amount should operate well. It is in good cosmetic condition but does not power on, therefore we are unable to test it further, and it is listed as Spares/Repair. The control board is faulty, and is loose inside the chamber. There is no rotor.

It is in good cosmetic condition and powers on, however, when powered on the display reads '0000' and no controls are operable, thus preventing any testing from being conducted. Heraeus Instruments Labofuge 400R Function Line Lab This item was removed from a university where i (more)t was surplus to requirement. It is in fairly poor cosmetic condition and powers on, however, due to an issue with the cooling/heating element it did not reach any desired temperature when tested. Therefore, it is listed as Spares/Repair. Additionally, it was tested to its maximum speed of 4500RPM, which performed well with no issues.

Beckman L8-80 Ultracentrifuge Lab This item was removed from a university where it was surplus to re (more)quirement. It is in good cosmetic condition externally and powers on, however, when tested we attempted to run the unit with a 70Ti rotor (not included), but encountered cooling system and speed sensor errors.Also, oil was discovered under the rotor and in the chamber/motor area, possibly due to a worn seal. This Sanyo MSE Mistral 2000R Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge was removed from a university lab wher (more)e it was surplus to requirements. The unit has been tested and is in working order. The RPM could be set up to 6500 but the rotor would only run up to 4500rpm. It was tested with a digital thermometer (not included).When the temperature was set to 4˚c, the thermometer read 5˚cWhen the temperature was set to -4˚c (minimum) the thermometer read -5˚c There is a Rotor inside with 4 x Buckets and 2 x Yellow 50ml Adaptors. It is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but has some minor marks from use.

This Sigma 1-15K Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge was removed from a university lab where it was sur (more)plus to requirements. The unit has been recertified by a service engineer. It is in full working order. It has had a new gas strut fitted, but the lid can get stuck. Once it is opened it will repeatedly open, but when left for an amount of time it can get stuck again. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with some minor marks from use.

This Beckman J2-21 Floor Standing Centrifuge was removed from a university lab where it was surplus  (more)to requirements. We have replaced the lid and repaired an area of cracked plastic underneath it. It is very stable. There are some cracks around the gas strut area. They do not appear to affect the operation of the unit. The unit is functional and has a comprehensive service history. The centrifuge holds a vacuum well and has been tested at: 5,000rpm10,000rpm15,000rpm20,000rpm (Max). It ran fine at all these speeds but the needle isn't totally in sync with the control knob. It has been tested at the following temperatures: 0ºC our thermometer read -15.8ºC20ºC our thermometer read 21.2ºC It appears to probably have a cooling issue. The compressor etc runs fine. It just appears to drop lower than it is set. When set to higher temps, it takes quite a while to heat up.

Sanyo MSE Mistral 2000R Benchtop Refrigerated 4500rpm Centrifuge This was removed from a university  (more)lab where it was surplus to requirements. The unit powers up and is in full working order up to 4500rpm. It refrigerated well. It is in good cosmetic condition with minor marks from use. (Digital thermometer not included.) The buckets have 2 x (6 x 15 mil) & 2 x (1 x 50 mil) adapters.

This Carl Padberg Zentrifugenbau LE was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requir (more)ements. The cosmetic condition of this item is fairly good and it has powered on. We set the unit to 20,000rpm. It does ramp up quite slowly to speed. It reached 21,000+ and started to hold speed. We're not sure how accurate the speed adjustment is. It didn't seem to fully hold at 20,000rpm, it kept slowly rising. The belt looks like it needs replacing too. For this reason, It is sold for spare/repairs The speed range is from 15000 to 40000 rpm. Beckman L8-60MR Ultracentrifuge This was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requi (more)rements. The unit powers up and was tested with a Beckman 70.1 Ti rotor from another item (Not included), but would not reach over 3000rpm (Rotor max is 10000). We suspect there is a vacuum issue as the vacuum light flashed red during testing. The system also will not cool down. It is in otherwise good cosmetic condition. It is sold for spares/repairs.
