Through a simple form, requesters can directly ask for a specific item or brand or model. Alternatively, they can also describe their needs and challenges in broader terms. Seeing posted requests, suppliers can then reply and suggest suitable solutions and products and send quotes.

Requests can also be useful for buyers who wish to compare different solutions and offers. Instead of having to contact many different suppliers one by one, they can simply post their needs and wait for suppliers to reply with offers and quotes for their scientific products. This procedure can also be used in procurement in tenders where organisations aim to purchase the most suitable scientific equipment for the best price and conditions. In many cases, a combination of actively looking for solutions and posting a request may work as well, as each strategy is likely to give different results.
How can I post a request?
On the QuestPair website, simply navigate to ReQuest, and post your request. All you have to do is come up with a title and a short description. Answers from manufacturers and suppliers will be send directly to your email address, and you can choose to reply to the ones you like. While your request’s title and description are publicly visible, your email and contact information will not be visible on the website. If so desired, you can log in and update or remove your request(s) later, or post additional ones – as many as you like!
For suppliers: how to reply to a request?
Suppliers can browse requests and fill in a reply, which will then be send to the email of the requester. The requester can then get in touch with you to ask for a quote or more information. Signing up as a supplier brings other advantages as well: you can post your products and scientific devices on QuestPair and benefit from free visibility and exposure.
