There is no umbilical cable included so we tested it with one from a working unit. We were unable to power the laser up. This High-Q femtoREGEN Class 4 Laser was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requi (more)rements. The unit is untested and was marked as faulty by the lab. An engineer inspected it, and they identified the optics, Second harmonic and third harmonic crystals were in good order. They were unable to test it further without the water circulator, though they did mention it looked like someone had been inside the pocket cell in the past. The fault is unknown but could be something to do with the pocket cell. OAI  Optical Associates Model J500/VIS Mask Aligner This was removed from a university lab wher (more)e it was surplus to requirements. The unit powers up but will require a level of refurbishment to get i back into working order. The system powered on but only one of the two optical microscope lights illuminated and displayed an image of the surface of the work platform on the monitor. The optical cables were swapped over to test the other monitor and microscope, these also worked. A new bulb is required in the light box marked "Bulb Blown".The extractor fan works well.The UV Light Controller would not power up properly when connected, making loud clicking noises, this controller did work on another OAI system of the same model which suggests there is a problem in the main mask aligner unit with the UV feature.The microscope moved around smoothly on the mounting slides but could not be moved by the joystick. It is i good cosmetic condition with minor marks.

Planar NSI Near-Field Measurement System This was removed from a university lab where it was surplus (more) to requirements. The system comes with HP workstation xw4100 PC with installed Antenna Measurement Software NSI2000 version 4.11.202. It also has installed National Instruments - Measurement & Automation Explorer Version 15.3. Hardlock (dongle) included The system was not used for a few years, the technician who worked with it has retired and it was not used since.  The system is a planar near-field scanner, which measures an aperture of 1.5m x 1.5m. It is designed for high-frequency measurements of antennas. The equipment in the rack, controls the position of the probe and measurements are taken using a network analyser. These analysers are usually supplied by the customer and the one that was used with this system has been removed and is not included.
