New and used instruments

Mixers are essential pieces of equipment in the laboratory that are used to homogenize, blend, and emulsify various substances. They come in a wide variety of types, sizes, and configurations, from handheld mixers to large-scale industrial mixers. Common types of mixers include magnetic stirrers, vortex mixers, overhead mixers, homogenizers, and sonicators. The choice of mixer depends on the specific application and  (more)the properties of the substances being mixed. Mixers are used in a variety of applications across many different scientific fields, from biology and biochemistry to material science and engineering. They are particularly useful for preparing samples for analysis, as well as for creating homogeneous mixtures for experimentation or production. There are many different factors to consider when choosing a mixer for a particular application, including the viscosity of the substances being mixed, the desired mixing speed and duration, and the level of shear or turbulence required. Some mixers also feature specialized attachments, such as probes or blades, that are designed for specific types of mixing or sample preparation. In addition to their utility in the lab, mixers are also important tools for quality control and assurance in many industries, from food and beverage production to pharmaceutical manufacturing. By ensuring that products are uniformly mixed and consistent in composition, mixers help to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Multi-tube vortex mixer MULTI-TX5 DIGITAL Velp-cover
Multi-tube vortex mixer MULTI-TX5 DIGITAL Velp

The MULTI-TX5 Digital is the exclusive solution for all multi-tube stirring applications, even the m (more)ost complex ones. The instrument has various foam holders for different vortex tubes; this makes it extremely useful for emulsifying, disintegrating, mixing or homogenizing samples. Major applications include suspensions, genotyping, DNA and RNA testing. Thanks to the powerful brushless motor, MULTI-TX5 Digital is able to stir solutions from 100 up to 2500 rpm, for microbiology and R&D or quality control applications in various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food & beverage and chemist. Ergonomics and simplified operation Switching between applications using different foam racks is quick and easy: - Loosen both screw knobs on the closure plate and lift up the plate. - Remove the plate or simply tighten it higher. - Place the rack with the tubes inside the foam holder, lower or insert the closure plate until you reach the tubes and tighten the knobs. - Done! Safety and ease of use The MULTI-TX5 Digital guarantees a high level of safety and protection as it is made of stainless steel. The digital control panel is designed to offer a superior level of ergonomics and high ease of use and with the comfortable knobs and the double ultra-bright digital display, setting and monitoring the stirring time and stirring speed is very simple. The structure is carefully designed to ensure maximum comfort, the best resistance and minimum space on the laboratory bench. Moreover? Press the center button for 3 seconds and activate the Safety Lock of the instrument to prevent inadvertent changes. Cutting-edge functionality Unique features ensure operational automation and optimize unattended operation. Very easy to use thanks to the intelligent interface of the new control panel: - Integrated timer - 1 min to 99 h 59 min (1 min steps) - Pulse mode that allows the instrument to shake the samples at maximum speed for 2 seconds and stop for 1 second, repeating the operation - Continuous working mode with time count shown on the display - Automatic rotation inversion that ensures better mixing capacity - from 5 s to 99 min 59 s (1 s steps) - Programs in intermittent mode for better scheduling of unattended operations - from 5 s to 99 min 59 s (1 s steps)
