X-ray analytical devices (XRD, XRF)

X-ray analytical devices are a group of instruments commonly used in the laboratory to analyze materials. Two of the most common types of X-ray analytical devices are X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) instruments. X-ray diffraction (XRD) instruments use X-rays to determine the crystal structure of a material. The X-rays are directed at the sample and then diffracted, or scattered, at specific angl (more)es. By analyzing the pattern of diffracted X-rays, the XRD instrument can determine the atomic arrangement of the material, which can provide information about its composition, crystal structure, and other properties. XRD instruments are commonly used in materials science, geology, and chemistry to study the composition and structure of various materials. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) instruments use X-rays to excite atoms in a material, causing them to emit fluorescent X-rays. By analyzing the energy and intensity of the emitted X-rays, the XRF instrument can determine the elemental composition of the material. XRF instruments are commonly used in a variety of fields, including environmental analysis, geology, materials science, and archaeology. Both XRD and XRF instruments are non-destructive, meaning that they can analyze materials without damaging them. They are powerful tools for identifying and characterizing materials, and are widely used in research and industrial applications.

Rigaku MicroMax-007HF Rotating Anode X-Ray Generator, AFC-11R System Lab This system was removed fro (more)m a university where it was surplus to requirement. All units are in excellent cosmetic condition. This Rigaku X-ray generator is reportedly in working condition according to the previous owner. However, some parts, such as the detector, were removed for spares to keep another system running. No testing was conducted, as the main unit requires a transformed three-phase 400-volt to a 200-volt three-phase supply. Therefore, we cannot confirm its working condition and therefore it is listed as Spares/Repair. This system comprises the following: Rigaku MicroMax-007HFModel RA-MICRO7HFM_RACSerial No. ID211302 The main control system is mounted on a cabinet 100 cm x 60 cm x 90 cm high with a metric 2.5 cm hole spacing isolation tabletop. The operating unit mounted on the table is 40 cm x 30 cm x 55 cm high Rigaku Model AFC-11R detector base and positioning unitSerial No. ID02493 Technifab Products cryogenic sample preparation unit52 cm platform with 9 cm central hole with insulated bung26 cm diameter x 22 cm deep stainless vessel Accessories: 1 x Rigaku Osmic Varimax Optical Fixture Serial No. 25001 x Rigaku Crystallography X-ray XRF Model CU 4364F5012 x Rigaku X-Ray Diffractometer Instruction ManualsSeveral lengths of colour coded 5mm tubing1 x Hampton Research HR4-767 XYZ heated goniometer head1 x Hampton Research HR4-643 XYZ short standard goniometer head1 x PEX4S553B PCB/card to interface with 4 coms sockets
