The KNF SC 920 Vacuum Pump System delivers precise vacuum control and diverse functionalities for a wide range of laboratory applications. Its user-friendly interface on the hand terminal allows for ease of operation, with process parameters entered via a touchscreen and rotation knob.

Adjustment capabilities include:

The hand terminal's graphic display indicates respective process variables based on the selected operating mode. Users can actively intervene in the ongoing process using the touchscreen and rotation knob. The hand terminal can be located through the vacuum pump system's paging feature, where it responds with a signal tone.

Four operating modes are available:

1. Evacuate – Evacuates a vacuum chamber with adjustable pump capacity.
2. Pressure Control – Maintains system pressure at a constant set value.
3. Automatic – Automatically finds the sample's vapor pressure and adjusts the process pressure.
4. Individual Pressure Function – Controls the process according to a user-defined pressure curve, with adjustable setpoint pressure and coolant valve operation on the high-performance condenser. It also features a repeat function for successive pressure curve repetitions. During an active process, manual control is always possible with simultaneous access to Evacuate and Pressure control functions.

Specifications include a flow rate of 1.26 m³/h (or 21 l/min at atmospheric pressure), an ultimate vacuum of 2.0 mbar abs (< 5.0 mbar with gas ballast valve), a maximum operating pressure of 0.5 bar (rel.), and dimensions of 366 x 423 x 294 mm with a weight of 15 kg.
