Description by the supplier

Edwards RV5 Vacuum PumpFeatures

- The RV is a truly versatile pump for operation throughout for your operations, perfect for wet applications, dusty applications and clean dry applications.

- The RV series of pumps has the highest vapor handling capacity of any rotary vane pump. This is ideally suited for your wet pumping applications such as freeze drying, extraction, filtration and gel drying.

- The best-in-class anti-suck back protection prevents dust or oil mist from entering your system. The fast-acting automatic inlet valve acts within 0.4 seconds.

- The universal motor in the pump covers the widest possible voltage and frequency range from a single motor.

- You can service and replace parts without dismantling the pump mechanism. All parts self-align, eliminating the need for special assembly.

Pump valve has "controlled" opening on power startup so that the system vacuum will never see a pressure surge on startup

The RV uses a high-quality "universal" motor to cover the widest possible voltage and frequency range.

A one-size Allen key is used to dismantle all parts of the RV pump. All rotor and stator parts are completely interchangeable

The RV series of small oil sealed rotary vane pumps deliver excellent ultimate vacuum pressure, high pumping speeds and superior vapour handling capabilities with quiet operation. With over 300,000 units produced, these pumps offer proven performance that sets the industry standard for R&D and scientific pumping applications. All RV pumps are approved to UL and CSA standards by an external test house and feature our unique mode selector switch, meaning one model is suitable for both high vacuum or high throughput applications.Click Here to View Product Video

VACUUBRAND ME 2C NT Chemistry Diaphragm Pump Ultimate Vacuum 70 mbar / 52 torr Maximum Pumping Spee (more)d 1.4 cfm Number of Heads/Stages 1/1 Features - Whisper quiet and very low vibration. - Powerful, even for parallel operation of several applications. - High performance even at low vacuum levels. - Outstanding chemical resistance. - Long diaphragm life, maintenance-free drive system. One-stage diaphragm pumps are an excellent solution for continuous, oil-free pumping of gases and vapors at low vacuum requirement. In contrast to waterjet pumps they do not consume water and therefore do not produce any contaminated waste water in daily use. Typical applications are vacuum ovens, filtrations and multi-port manifolds for medium throughput, as well as pumping of gases and oil-free evacuation in general. The one-stage construction provides the advantageous combination of high pumping speed and low ultimate vacuum down to 70 mbar. One-stage chemistry diaphragm vacuum pumps are an excellent choice for applications with corrosive gases and vapors which do not require very deep vacuum levels. Typical applications are vacuum ovens, filtrations as well as concentration of solvents with low boiling points. All major parts in contact with pumped media are made of chemically resistant fluoroplastics. The well proven robust PTFE sandwich diaphragm provides outstanding reliability and operating life.
