This PerkinElmer Fusion A Microplate Reader, Model: A153603, was previously part of a university laboratory before becoming surplus to requirements. The system has been expertly serviced and is in full working order. Although the accompanying PC displays a persistent server busy message, a known workaround has been identified. The instrument is equipped with a robust 400mW laser, ensuring smooth sample runs. It does exhibit a failed PMT Dark Count due to high thermal electron current under high voltage, notably during photon counting. However, this does not compromise its overall functionality. Furthermore, the equipment has successfully passed both PMT Dark (Charge Integration) and LED Control checks. The server busy error suggests that another program may be active, which can be remedied by selecting 'Switch to' for correction. Physically, the equipment is in excellent condition, showing only minor signs of use.
