The DiaSorin ETI-MAX 3000 stands as a fully automated microtiter plate analyzer designed to streamline the entire process of sample handling, from pre-dilutions, dispensing of samples and reagents, incubation, washing, and transport of plates, to photometric measurement and data evaluation. Its operation is seamlessly managed via Windows PC software, allowing both pre-defined DiaSorin assays and custom user-programmed assays to be processed, reinforced by intuitive user guidance for ease of daily operations.
Key features include liquid handling with 1 ml thinner and disposable tips of 300 or 1100 µl. It facilitates simultaneous handling of up to 4 plates and ensures precision with a coefficient of variation (CV) of less than 8.0% for 10 µl samples and less than 2.5% for 100 µl samples. The system is equipped with an electronic level sensor and supports clot detection. Mixing capabilities extend to both pre-dilution tubes and microplates, with multipipetting available for samples, controls, and reagents.
Pipetting times are efficient, clocking in at less than 18 minutes for 96 wells at 100 µl per well for samples, and less than 4 minutes for reagents. Its design minimizes carry-over, and an integrated barcode scanner facilitates identification for primary vessels, controls, and microtiter plates with various barcode types supported.
The ETI-MAX 3000 accommodates up to 240 sample tubes and four separate incubators, maintaining temperatures from 5°C above room temperature to 50°C with an accuracy of ± 1°C. It provides a consistent environment (± 0.7°C across the whole plate) with lengthwise shaking and hosts up to four wash buffers.
Pipetting volumes range from 200 to 2500 µl/well depending on the assay, and the precision is maintained at ± 5% CV at 300 µl. The residual volume is kept under 2.5 µl for round-bottom wells and under 4 µl for flat-bottom wells. The integrated wash programs (1 to 9) are customizable per assay, with adjustable pipette pressure.
Measurements are vertically performed using photodiodes, supporting both extinction and kinetic measurement across 8 channels. It offers both single and double operation with a wide spectrum of 400 – 700 nm and a linearly dynamic range from –0.100 to 3,000 absorption units. The ETI-Max 3000 is built with a practical filter setup, including up to 8 positions, of which 5 are preinstalled.
The system's compact design measures 1130 x 760 x 1000 mm and weighs 130 kg, making it a robust addition to any laboratory setting.
