The N 820.3 FT.40.18 is a two-stage pump with an integrated “self-drying” system for automatic conde (more)nsate drain. The “SD” series is widely used in laboratories, especially when the vapors are humid and a clean and ecological vacuum is required. Typical applications are: vacuum ovens (for drying chemicals, drying biological samples, heat treatments), autoclaves for sterilizing instruments, containers, filters and textiles. Thanks to the use of anti-corrosion materials, it is possible to vacuum even corrosive products.  The heart of the pump is the diaphragm with differentiated structure in PTFE, optimized to guarantee high performance with reduced dimensions and at the same time, long life even in heavy applications.  When the humid gases are sucked in, condensation may form in the pump head: consequently the performance decreases, considerably increasing the emptying time. To eliminate condensation, the 'drying system' then opens a solenoid valve that allows ambient air to enter the heads. Once the condensation has been eliminated, the solenoid valve closes and the pump sucks from the stove in full capacity. Over time, condensation could form again and then the cycle is repeated. The time interval between one cycle and the next can be adjusted as desired, as well as the duration of the air injection. Vacuubrand Vakuum-Pump system BVC 81 This was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to  (more)requirements. The unit powers up and runs. The tube connecting the pump to the bottle has been snapped off, allowing all the air to escape before it converts into the bottle. This tubing will need to be replaced but is a consumable. Unable to test further at our facility.

It is not currently at our site, but viewings can be arranged. The unit is in good cosmetic condition and has been stored in the original box for the last year. It was working before it was put into storage. Some info on the unit; Chroma’s 17208M is a standalone 8 channel version of their 17011 series high precision charge/discharge tester specifically designed for Lithium-ion batteries, electrical double layer capacitors (EDLC), and lithium-ion capacitors (LIC).The 17208M comes as a fully integrated system which includes allowing full configuration with reporting and statistics capability.
