Product Description
- Six-position extraction mantle designed for round-bottom 500mL flasks.
- Each position features an independent quartz heating element with solid-state electronic control, on/off switch, control dial, and indicator light.
- Maximum element temperature: 450°C.
- Heating elements housed in thermally insulated cartridges, replaceable for extended heater life.
- Electrical controls separated from heating elements by a ventilated air space to ensure safety.
- External unit surfaces are powder-coated aluminum; top cover constructed from polypropylene for chemical resistance and ease of cleaning.
- Includes three 12.7 mm diameter support rods for flask stability.
- Individual heaters enclosed within an Earth (ground) screen for added electrical safety.
- Neon indicator lights signal power status for each heater.
Soxhlet Extraction Apparatus:
- Includes 6 complete sets of Kimble 24005-50 KIMAX (or equivalent) 500mL Soxhlet extractors with 55/50 standard taper joints.
- Soxhlet designed for separation of analytes with limited solvent solubility from insoluble compounds.
- Flask capacity: approximately 500 mL (to base of flask neck).
- Joint sizes: Soxhlet tube to condenser: 55/50; Soxhlet tube to flask: 24/40.
- Thimble size compatible: 45 mm x 123 mm (paper thimbles not included).
- Condenser hose connections accept 5/16” internal diameter flexible tubing (tubing not included).
Note: Thimbles and tubing must be sourced separately.
