Compact Heating Plates and Magnetic Stirrers


The robustly constructed OHAUS series of compact laboratory instruments are designed to heat and blend up to 1,000ml of water via their 102 x 102mm ceramic plates. These units are ideal for educational institutions' labs and various other settings that necessitate basic daily heating and stirring operations. All models come equipped with a support rod hook including a securing knob compatible with our optional support rod kit. Models with stirring functionality include a 38mm PTFE-coated magnetic stir bar.


Models On Offer:

1. Heating Model: Achieves temperatures up to 500°C.

2. Consistent Temperature Model: Sustains a steady 500°C.

3. Stirring Model: Reaches 500°C.

The InstaView Gel Tank accommodates one large (10.5x10cm) or one small (10.5x6cm) gel tray and is supplied with trays, combs and a leak-proof casting stand. The gel tank lid includes attached power leads which prevent the unit from operating without the lid properly in place. The InstaView Gel Tank is shaped to allow the mini LED transilluminator (included) to slide underneath. Blue light, at a wavelength of 465nm, provides excitation of common green fluorescent stains such as SmartGlow™, SYBR™ Green, and GelGreen. An orange filter is incorporated into the gel tank lid for visualizing the DNA in the gel box without any additional equipment or glasses.
