The Thermo Scientific PikoReal 24 Thermal Cycler is expertly designed for initiating real-time PCR in low sample throughput applications, utilizing a 24-well format. Equipped with the PikoReal software, this system ensures an intuitive and straightforward operation of the cycler with seamless online integration for control via your computer. The instrument is capable of five detection channels, facilitating the detection of hydrolysis (5’Nuclease/TaqMan) probes, accommodating both single color and multiplex sample analysis.
The thermal block-driven PikoReal qPCR system is adeptly managed by the PikoReal software, enabling comprehensive remote monitoring of any qPCR experiment directly from your computer. Alternatively, users can save qPCR protocols on a USB stick and upload them for independent, stand-alone operation. PikoReal software is equipped with modules for absolute and relative quantification, melting curve analysis, allelic discrimination, and High Resolution Melting (HRM). Its advanced algorithms simplify data normalization, obviating the need for an external reference dye.
