Safety System:

The HX5.EX scale is a modern weighing instrument assuring fast and reliable measurement in hazardous (more) areas classified as zones 1/21 and 2/22. To ensure precision and excellent measurement repeatability, high quality electronic components are used. The weighing platforms offered in wide range of dimensions and maximum capacities, this combined with excellent metrological parameters enables easy selection of an instrument that meets the most demanding requirements. Standard version of the scale is equipped with 2 serial, intrinsically safe RS232 communication interfaces, and with one RS485 interface. They facilitate cooperation with equipment intended for operation in hazardous areas. Possibility to add digital inputs/outputs extends the range of instruments compatible with the indicator by automatic elements compliant with ATEX directive. More demanding customers can use the IM01.EX module, installed in the safe area, which extends the available connectors by Ethernet, USB, 4-20mA/0- 10V analog outputs, Profibus DP and additional digital inputs/outputs. This enables cooperation with external devices: barcode scanners, printers, external displays, control buttons, light signalling towers, other controlling/signalling devices, systems for automatic process control and superior IT systems. Scale operation requires use of a dedicated PM01.EX power supply, which is not a standard scale component. To operate the scale, order a selected type of the dedicated intrinsically safe power supply. Power supply types: PM01.EX-1 - power supply for operation in ATEX area. Used when it is required to connect the power supply to voltage source placed in hazardous area. PM01.EX-2 - power supply for operation outside ATEX area. Used when power supply connection to voltage source is carried out outside hazardous area. Complex software enables carrying out many tasks connected with mass measurement, e.g. parts counting, checkweighing and statistics. PS.R1 series balances represent a new standard of precision balances. They feature a new, readable L (more)CD display which allows a clearer presentation of the weighing result. Besides, the display has a new text information line allowing to show additional messages and data, e.g. product name or tare value. New PS.R1 balances like previously designed PS series balances, have pans in two possible dimensions: 128x128 mm or 195x195 mm. Balances with a smaller pan have a draft shield. They were equipped with the system of external mass adjustment. PS.R1 balances feature several communication interfaces: 2 x RS 232, type A USB, type B USB and optional Wireless Connection. The balance may cooperate with computer by means of USB interface supposing a supplementary software has been installed (respective driver). The said driver may be downloaded from RADWAG website – SOFTWARE link or SUPPORT section. The housing is made of plastic, and the pan is made of stainless steel. The balances have a possibility to weigh products out of the pan (under-pan weighing) - the load hangs under the pan. Databases in R Series Balances The information system is based on 5 databases, which allows for several users to work with several products databases, and the registered weighing results can be subject to further analysis. The data is registered in 5 databases: users (up to 10 users), products (up to 1000 products), weighments (up to 5000 weighments), tares (up to 100 tares), ALIBI memory (up to 100 000 weighments). . Quick access to information There is two directions data exchange within the system thanks to a quick USB interface. New balances allow to import and export databases using USB pen drives. The MW-04-2 mass converter is designed to be a component of construction of an industrial load cell  (more)scale. Depending on the needs, communication can be established via RS232, RS485. The MW-04-2 mass converter can connect with weighing indicators or the PC. It is equipped with Inputs/Outputs enabling independent control of some industrial processes, e.g.: dosing. One MW-04-2 mass converter allows to operate up to 4 weighing platforms. Construction: The converter is housed in a metal casing. Signal cables of the weighing platforms (4 pcs maximum) are fed through cable glands. RS232 is available on the M12 8P connector, RS485 may be fed through the PG11 cable gland. The device is equipped with an in-built power supply, this allows to power it directly from the mains. By standard the MW-04-2 mass converter supports 2 weighing platforms, optionally it can support 4. "Formulations" software makes use of the weighing indicators functionality to the maximum when it comes to their operation along with actuators, e.g. control of dosing valves. Additional advantage is the possibility to set an interrelated ingredient dosing on various platforms within one formulation process. Formulations and Dosing in the Industry: Industrial weighing indicators are designed on the basis of an innovative approach to formulation and dosing processes. Communication between the indicators and the modern MW-04 mass converters boosts the functionality of systems that realise both dosing and formulations. Communication interfaces enable placing the weighing platform and the indicator in a considerable distance one from another.
