The Invitrogen iBlot Gel Transfer System is a dry blotting platform designed for fast, reliable transfer of proteins and nucleic acids. Key features include:
- Utilizes patented gel matrix technology to minimize electrode distance, increasing field strength and current for reduced transfer times.
- Transfers proteins from midi- or mini-sized polyacrylamide gels to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes in approximately 7 minutes using iBlot Gel Transfer Stacks.
- Efficiently transfers DNA from agarose or TBE polyacrylamide gels to nylon membranes with iBlot DNA Transfer Stacks.
- Supports chemiluminescent or chromogenic western detection in 7 to 8 minutes via iBlot Western Detection Stacks.
- Comes pre-programmed with 10 protocols, compatible with NuPAGE Bis-Tris, Tris-Acetate, Tris-Glycine, Tricine, and E-PAGE gels.
- Features an integrated power supply, eliminating external power sources and enhancing operational consistency.
- Includes built-in safety features to protect users during operation.
- Equipped with a digital display for precise control of transfer conditions.
- Each Transfer Stack integrates membranes and electrodes, removing the need for buffer preparation and simplifying workflow.
Note: Appropriate iBlot Transfer Stacks (Gel, DNA, or Western Detection) are required for operation and are sold separately. The system is suitable for researchers requiring rapid, reproducible protein or DNA transfers for western blotting and nucleic acid transfer workflows.
