The AI CF1200 series muffle furnaces utilize Kanthal spiral wire coils embedded in Mitsubishi alumina fiber insulation with a double-walled steel housing for minimized heat loss.

Control system:
- Eurotherm or Shimaden digital controller with built-in digital communication port and USB adaptor for remote PC control and monitoring
- Microprocessor-based self-tuning PID control for optimized thermal processes with minimal overshoot
- Built-in ammeter and dual voltmeters for easy monitoring and troubleshooting
- Long-life type K thermocouple
Safety features:
- Overheat protection shuts down the furnace if temperature exceeds limits or thermocouple fails
