The Biochrom Libra S60 is a UV/Vis spectrophotometer designed for precise and versatile photometric analysis across a wavelength range of 190 to 1100 nm. It features a wavelength accuracy of ±0.5 nm and a reproducibility of ±0.1 nm, ensuring consistent results. Utilizing a xenon lamp and a double beam optical system with a Czerny-Turner monochromator, it delivers accurate optical measurements with a bandwidth of 2 nm.

The dual solid-state silicon photodiode detector supports a photometric range of -4.000 A to 4.000 A, with stray light levels capped at less than 0.050%T at 220 nm and 340 nm for reliable performance. Stability is ensured with zero stability pegged at ±0.001A/hr at 500 nm and baseline flatness within ±0.002 A from 220 to 900 nm. Its sensitivity is reflected in a noise level of less than 0.002 A peak to peak at high absorbance and less than 0.00020 A RMS over multiple measurements.

Photometric accuracy and reproducibility are maintained at ±0.002 A at 0.5 A, progressing to ±0.006 A at 2 A for specific wavelengths, enhancing measurement reliability. It offers various measurement types including fixed wavelength, absorbance, transmittance, concentration measurements, multiwavelength scans, kinetics, and specialized life science methods.
