The Zebra ZT220 Thermal Label Printer offers precise printing capabilities suitable for various laboratory settings. This second-hand system features two options for print resolution: 203 DPI (8 dots/mm) and 300 DPI (12 dots/mm). The dot size for both resolutions is maintained at 0.110 x 0.132 mm. At 203 DPI, the maximum print width is 108 mm, while at 300 DPI, it is 105.7 mm.
The printer accommodates a wide range of barcode sizes, with modulus measurements from 5 mil to 50 mil at 203 DPI and 3.3 mil to 33 mil at 300 DPI. Print speeds can be adjusted to 51, 76, 102, 127, or 152 mm/s to suit various requirements.
Label size is flexible, with minimum media label lengths of 17.8 mm for tear-off and 12.7 mm for peel-off, extending to a maximum length of 991 mm. The media label width ranges from 19 mm to 114 mm, and the total media thickness, including the liner, is between 0.076 mm and 0.25 mm.
The printer supports media rolls up to an outer diameter of 203 mm on a 76 mm core and 152 mm on a 25 mm core. The inter-label gap measures a minimum of 2 mm, with a preferred gap of 3 mm and a maximum of 4 mm. The ticket or tag notch size is 6 x 3 mm, while the media hole diameter is 3.18 mm. Hole or notch position is adjustable from a minimum of 3.8 mm to a maximum of 57 mm from the inner media edge. Media black mark and maximum density are greater than 1.0 ODU and less than or equal to 0.5 ODU, respectively.
For ribbon specifications, the width varies from 51 mm to 110 mm, with standard lengths set at a 2:1 media to ribbon roll ratio of 300 m. The ribbon core inside diameter is 25 mm.
