The Sony UP-D897 is engineered for medical imaging applications, incorporating proven direct thermal printing technology to produce sharp, high-quality A6-size prints in approximately two seconds. Its compact, lightweight design is complemented by an intuitive front panel featuring a jog dial and LCD display, which facilitate seamless adjustment of printer settings. Its solid digital connectivity is ensured via a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface.

The printer uses direct thermal printing with a resolution of 325 dpi, offering 8-bit (256 levels) gradations. Its compact design accommodates a print area of 320 x 100 mm, supporting paper widths up to 110 mm.
