The NovoCyte 2000 Flow Cytometer by Acea Biosciences addresses both current and future multi-parameter cellular analysis requirements, offering researchers high performance at a cost-effective investment. Equipped with blue (488 nm) and red (640 nm) lasers, it features detectors at 530, 585, and 675 nm with spatially separated beams and elliptical spots measuring 10 x 80 μm. The fixed optical alignment procedure eliminates the need for operator alignment, while the rectangular quartz flow cell measures 170 x 290 μm. It achieves exceptional FSC/SSC resolution (FSC < 0.5 μm, SSC < 0.2 μm) and accommodates cell sizes from 0.2 to 50 μm. Fluorescence threshold sensitivity is pegged at FITC < 75 MESF and PE < 50 MESF, and provides a fluorescence resolution of less than 3% CV for CEN, with user-exchangeable filters available. The NovoCyte supports fast sample acquisition at 35,000 events per second and volumetric absolute count precision with a CV of less than 5%, operating at a sample flow rate of 5 to 120 μL/min and a sheath flow rate of 6.5 mL/min.
