The LITHIUMSAFE storage cabinet series encompasses cutting-edge, high-caliber products, consciously engineered in Italy exclusively for the secure storage of lithium batteries.


Constructed in compliance with contemporary standards, these cabinets can also be customized with a variety of safety-enhancing accessories.


BUILD SPECIFICATIONS

- The cabinets are meticulously built from electro-galvanized, cold-pressed steel sheet featuring a detachable exterior structure. Sheet thickness varies between 1/1.5/2 millimeters and it is further coated with acid-resistant epoxy and heat-treated at 200°C for added strength.

- They are fortified with exclusive insulation capable of withstanding high temperatures up to 800°C, composed of high-density 300 Kg/m3 calcium silicate and mineral fiber panels (free from Fibroceramic), fastened with ceramic adhesives.

- Fire-resistant, melamine laminate panels presenting high resilience against even aggressive vapors.


Certifications comply with EN 14470-1 and EN 16121 standards.

AUTOMATIC FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM


The operational strategy of the built-in fire extinguishing setup is based on early fire detection and prompt control of the extinguishing process, thereby diminishing potential fire damage. Comprised of a fire monitoring system, extinguishing regulation unit, and condensed aerosol generators, it allows easy programming and usage via the front panel display. This flexible unit offers the option to preset siren activation delays or modify the operational time and duration of the extinguishing cycle.


OPERATION MODE


Utilizing the automatic fire extinguisher, a fire caused by lithium batteries is promptly suppressed, and electrolyte decomposition products, specifically Hydrogen fluoride (HF), are rendered stable and non-flammable, as KF and KHF2. This neutralization process forestalls the generation of highly combustible gases, foremost hydrogen (H2), effectively bringing down the interior temperature below the threshold necessary for fire ignition.


Key components of the fire extinguishing system include:


- Certification in accordance with EN 12094-1 and EN54.2 and 4 standards.

- Fire early detection and automatic extinguishing

- 128 x 64 pixel graphic display

- Fire extinguishing initiating button positioned on the unit's front

- Selector key switch for mode preference: manual only or combined manual and automatic.

- Three siren output ports.

- 3A power supply.

- Standby low energy consumption of only 40mA.

- Remote function regulation via inputs and outputs.

- Extinguishing override button and extinguishing discharge cancel button.

- Data log for event recording.

- RS-485 port for remote connectivity.

Isothermal amplification is carried out by two independently controlled heat  blocks capable of operating between 55 C and 65 C, and within 1 C of the  temperature set point. The isothermal amplification temperature set point is dictated by the  illumigene Assay selected. Isothermal amplification time is monitored by the illumipro-10’s internal timer. When in operation, the illumipro-10 will display  ‘Test in Progress’ as well as block temperature and incubation time remaining.
