NOVEX QuickPoint EI9700 Electrophoresis Cell

The NOVEX QuickPoint EI9700 Electrophoresis Cell by Invitrogen is designed for rapid and efficient acrylamide gel electrophoresis, ideal for separating nucleic acids. The cell's dimensions are 11 cm in length, 12 cm in width, and 16 cm in height, accommodating gels sized at 8 x 8 cm. It features a lower buffer chamber with a capacity of 600 L and an upper buffer chamber holding 200 mL. The electrophoresis cell has a voltage limit of 1500 V and a power limit of 50 watts.

Although Novex precast gels are not included, they are available in a convenient 12.5 cm size and can deliver results in just 15 minutes. This versatile system is well-suited for replacing large sequencing gels in diverse applications like RNase protection, differential display, and phage display. It also supports sequencing reactions where short DNA read lengths (60-80 bp) are sufficient, such as site-directed mutagenesis. Employing a pH-neutral buffer, the system enhances gel stability and provides superior resolution of bands compared to traditional TBE buffers.
