The 4titude a4S Automatic Heat Sealer is designed for versatility and convenience, as it requires no air supply, making it ideal for use as a stand-alone unit on standard lab benches or integrated into a robotic setup. Its rapid heating element ensures quick start-up, while the standby function conserves energy during inactivity.

This heat sealer accommodates a wide array of SBS footprint plates, including various PCR plate formats (96 to 1536 wells), assay plates, deep well storage plates, and microplates. With the ability to handle plate heights from 3 mm to 60 mm, the unit requires minimal adjustments. Plates are loaded in a portrait format providing excellent access for robotic integration.

The device supports rolls with a width of 75-85 mm, which can be loaded in two positions based on roll length and space requirements, allowing it to fit beneath most liquid handling robot gantries. The sealing dimensions are precisely set to cover an SBS footprint plate without impeding stacking, and the seal position can be adjusted for overhang to facilitate easy removal.

Specifications include a sealing temperature range of 100 – 195°C, a sealing time range of 0.1 – 10 seconds, and connectivity via RS-232 Serial Port and USB Port.
