The Avantes HortiSpec+ Spectrometer System, available in a pre-owned condition, is equipped with the highly-regarded NR Lite2 Net Radiometer probe. This system has been meticulously designed to assess light intensity and spectral distribution within the visible and near-infrared (NIR) spectrum, particularly within greenhouse environments.
Recognizing the critical role of light intensity and spectral distribution in plant growth and photosynthesis, the HortiSpec allows for precise measurement of these parameters. It is capable of quantifying light intensity in terms of photons or other horticulturally-relevant metrics.
The NR Lite2 Net Radiometer is engineered for straightforward measurement of net radiation—the equilibrium between incoming and outgoing radiation in outdoor settings. Its innovative design includes a double-sided detector with black conical absorbers, enhanced by an anti-stick, weather-resistant coating. Unlike other sensor designs, it eliminates the need for delicate plastic domes, contributing to its virtually maintenance-free operation. The vertical stick feature effectively deters birds, ensuring a stable output signal.
