This Olympus IX50/Arcturus LCM2106 PixCell 2E Microdissection Microscope System was removed from a u (more)niversity lab where it was surplus to requirements. All parts are in good used cosmetic condition but they do have signs of general use. We have powered it all up and the system appears to function as it should. We were able to view a slide via the software on the PC. It is an excellent system and is in full working order. It has been professionally serviced. The comments from the service engineer are below. It appears to be in good working condition but we have no way of checking the laser. The internal halogen works fine and so does the external metal halide illumination. Applied Imaging Genetix Ariol SL-50 Vision BioSystems Olympus BX-61 Microscope This was removed fro (more)m a university lab where it was surplus to requirements. The item is in a fairly good used cosmetic condition. It appears to have some errors. Firstly the BX-UCB controller is showing an Error with CDT, which is the U-UCD8A turret. When switched on the turret makes a horrible noise, sounds like the motor is possibly stuck. We managed to clear the error by connecting the turret from another BX61 we have in stock, but it was removed after testing. It is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but does have marks from use. It has not been tested and will need to be inspected for safety by a qualified technician before it can be used again. It fits 20ml sample tubes.
