Designed for versatility, the SMZ-171-TLED can be used in a variety of fields, from medical applications to industrial quality control. This rugged microscope is built to provide clear and distortion free images through many years of daily use. In its standard configuration, the SMZ-171-TLED has a working distance of 110mm, providing ample room for dissection instruments and sample manipulation. Working distance refers to the amount of space between the unit’s base and the unit’s objective, and is an important feature of any stereo microscope – the larger this number, the more room users have to operate. Magnification is controlled by a zoom knob on the microscope’s side, enabling users to adjust between 7.5x and 50x in one continuous motion. The zoom knob also contains five indents, so that precise magnifications can be quickly and accurately repeated. This is especially important when taking measurements with micrometers, reticules, and processing software. Motic also offers a wide variety of optional objectives and eyepieces, greatly expanding the magnification range from 2.25x to 200x. The SMZ-171-TLED is presented in a modular format and can be easily modified by the user. A large number of optional illumination sources, stands and filters are available, enabling users to customize the scope to suit their specific application. It is also available in both binocular and trinocular formats. Digital documentation of your work is made simple with any of Motic’s digital microscopy cameras – the Moticam. With over 20 models to choose from, these range from standard resolution, to research grade instruments with integrated cooling devices.INCLUDED: The Motic SMZ-171-TLED Stereo Trinocular Microscope with LED Illumination includes: - 10x Eye Piece - Power Cord - Operator's Guide - Manufacturer's Documentation - 5 Year Manufacturer's Warranty
