BioTek EL808 Microplate Reader

The BioTek EL808 Microplate Reader, offered here as a pre-owned system, is engineered for precision in laboratory settings. This sophisticated instrument operates in absorbance detection mode, providing end point, kinetic, and linear scanning read methods. It is optimized for use with standard 96-well plates.

The device is equipped with a reliable tungsten halogen light source and a photodiode detector, covering a wavelength range from 380 to 900 nm. Included filters are strategically positioned at 340, 405, 450, 490, and 630 nm, enhancing versatility in various assays.

The EL808 encompasses an impressive dynamic range of 0 to 4.0 OD, with a fine resolution of 0.001 OD. Although it does not feature pathlength correction, its OD accuracy is maintained at less than 1% at 2.5 OD. Furthermore, OD linearity is under 1% at 2.5 OD and under 2% at 3.5 OD, while OD repeatability is less than 0.5% at 2.5 OD and under 1.5% at 3.5 OD.

With a kinetic reading speed capable of processing 96 wells in approximately 8 seconds, the EL808 balances efficiency and accuracy. The unit's dimensions are 394 x 406 x 222 mm, with a weight of 13.6 kg, making it a compact choice for laboratory environments.
