The Eldex 5976 Optos 2SMP is a metering pump designed for precise flow control at intermediate to high pressures through positive displacement and a reciprocating piston. Key features include:

- Maximum Pressure: 6000 psi
- Piston Diameter: 1/8"
- Piston Stroke: 0.250"
- Wetted Materials: Type 316 stainless steel, sapphire, ruby, graphite fiber reinforced PTFE, CTFE
- Reproducibility: ±0.3% typically
- Viscosity Limit: Up to 500 centipoise
The piston is actuated by a stepper motor via an eccentric cam, controlled by advanced software algorithms that modulate motor speed based on piston position. This ensures rapid fluid intake, smooth and constant fluid delivery while minimizing pulsation.
Tubing Connections:
- Inlet: 1/4"-28 low-pressure plastic fitting for 1/8" plastic tubing
- Outlet: 10-32 tube nut and ferrule for 1/16" tubing
