Coverslips

Coverslips are used to trap or fixate samples so that they can be studied under a microscope. They are transparent, which makes it easy to deposit a droplet of fluid on a coverslip and look at it and study the sample through an objective. Coverslips are available in in different kinds and with different dimensions. Typically they are made out of glass or plastic. Sometimes a coating is applied to change the surface  (more)properties.
