Ohaus Mini Vortex Mixers come in four distinct models—fixed speed, analog, digital, and pulse—providing reliable mixing solutions tailored to your lab’s unique needs. The fixed speed model is an economical option for vigorous, high-speed one-touch mixing, ideal for repeatable applications. The analog model offers adjustable speed control for tasks that don't require precise repeatability, with a speed control knob featuring graduation marks for easy selection. Digital models provide precise speed adjustments and repeatable results with an LED display for controlling speed and time. The pulse vortex model combines pulse action to minimize heat generation during effective cell mixing and fractionation and is controlled via an LED display, allowing users to adjust predefined values and impulse control.
These mixers offer effortless operation; tactile mode is activated by pressing the cupped head, and continuous mode accommodates various accessories. Their robust design ensures stability and durability during use. The digital and analog vortex mixers provide efficient speed control, ranging from gentle agitation at low RPM to vigorous, high-speed vortex mixing.
Applications for these mixers include resuspension of fluids, mixing of reagents, buffers, and emulsions, performing ELISA tests, drug extractions, and sample mixing. The digital models feature independent LED displays for speed and time, allowing operators to view both parameters simultaneously, while analog models provide variable speed control via marked knobs.
Each model features a durable structure, with an accessory platform approximately 7 cm in diameter and a cup head suitable for beakers, flasks, and test tubes. The pulse model also includes a holder for 12 stainless steel microtubes. Integrated chip control in digital models ensures constant mixing at set speeds. Whether you're unsure of the right agitator for your needs, the Vortex Shaker Selection Guide can assist in your decision by offering a comprehensive overview of all available models.
