The Eppendorf Thermomixer Comfort offers unparalleled versatility with its ability to perform simultaneous mixing and precise temperature control. It is ideal for a range of applications such as enzyme reactions, DNA, RNA, and protein denaturation, bacterial and yeast cultures, bead technology, plasmid isolation, and DNA fragment isolation from agarose gels. Featuring two selectable program sequences, this device handles incubation, mixing, and rest phases, with cooling to 13°C below ambient, and an automatic thermoblock recognition system which displays maximum revolutions. The thermomixer comes equipped with an 8 x 15 mL block for convenience. The active Peltier element provides efficient heating and counter cooling, ensuring precise temperature control.

Key features include a short mix and intermittent mix function, along with a pause option, and a timer ranging from 1 minute to 99.59 hours, or for continuous operation. The mixing speed varies from 300 to 1500 rpm, with a consistent amplitude of 3mm. With incubation accuracy maintained at ± 0.5°C (between 20°C and 45°C) and ± 2°C outside this range, the temperature control spans from 13°C below ambient to 99°C. The heating rate is approximately 5°C per minute, while cooling is at 2 – 3°C/minute from 99°C to ambient, and 0.5 – 1°C/minute from ambient to 13°C below it.
