**Principle:**


This second-hand system offers a robust capability for positive and untouched isolation of target cells from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), cultured cells, and dissociated tissue. Additionally, it supports direct cell isolation from whole blood or bone marrow utilizing StraightFrom Whole Blood MicroBeads. With access to over 400 distinct MicroBeads and Isolation Kits, the system facilitates comprehensive separation processes. Post-automated separation, both labeled and non-labeled cells are yielded, ready for various downstream applications, including functional and molecular assays, chimerism analysis, and flow cytometry studies. To preserve cell viability and structural integrity, cells are maintained at optimal temperatures using Chill Racks.


**Monitoring:**


The system is equipped with pre-set programs compatible with all MACS MicroBeads and Isolation Kits, ensuring precise sample processing. Advanced sensors continuously assess the condition of the autoMACS Pro, monitor buffer levels, and evaluate the status of separation columns, thereby guaranteeing exceptional instrument performance and safeguarding both sample integrity and operator safety.

**Included Chill Racks:**


The Chill Racks are engineered to maintain low temperatures effectively. Pre-cooled in a standard refrigerator (2–8°C), the special coolant within transitions from liquid to solid at 8°C, sustaining a reduced temperature until fully melted. This phase transition is visually discernible. It is crucial to avoid cooling racks below 0°C to prevent potential freezing of cell samples.

- **Chill 5 Rack (1x):** Accommodates 24 slots for 5 mL tubes, suitable for cell separation of up to six samples.

- **Chill 15 Rack (4x):** Provides 15 slots for 15 mL tubes and 5 slots for 5 mL tubes, facilitating the separation of up to five samples.

- **Chill 50 Rack (1x):** Houses 6 slots for 50 mL tubes, 3 slots for 15 mL tubes, and 3 slots for 5 mL tubes, capable of processing up to three cell samples.

The semi-automated and conforming-to-standards combustion calorimeter determines the gross calorific value of liquid and solid samples. So far it has mainly been used for teaching and training purposes at technical schools and universities. Due to the automated water handling it is now also suitable for industrial laboratories with low number of analyses. The catalytic activated, halogen resistant decomposition vessel C 5012 is specifically designed for the combustion of samples that contain halogens and sulfur ( 3 % ). The material of the decomposition vessel (Hastelloy) prevents corrosion caused by samples with high chlorine content. The catalytic activated inner-surface leads to higher recovery rates in case analysis of halogens and/or sulfur is required after the combustion. Four different operation modes enable the user to control the measuring times according to individual requirements: Isoperibol: approx: 17 min.
