Description by the supplier

This listing is for a Life Technologies Ion Torrent OneTouch 2The Ion OneTouch 2 Instrument performs template amplification as part of the manual workflow for the Ion PGM, Ion Proton, Ion S5, and Ion S5 XL systems. It provides scalable template preparation for all Ion semiconductor chips. The instrument has a small footprint and fits easily on any bench top.For a fully automated workflow, please see the Ion Chef Instrument. The Ion OneTouch ES enrichment module is not included in this purchase. For both the Ion OneTouch 2 Instrument and ES moduleEfficiency and flexibilityThe Ion OneTouch 2 instrument integrates multiple manual template preparation steps into a single system. This enables parallel processing of multiple samples per day through modular design. It is flexible and supports scalable template preparation for all Ion semiconductor sequencing chips with up to 400 bases on the Ion PGM, up to 200 bases on the Ion Proton System, up to 400 bases on the Ion 520 and Ion 530 chips, and up to 200 bases on the Ion 540 chip. The need for gas is eliminated by the use of a peristaltic pump.Contributing technologiesAt the heart of the Ion OneTouch 2 Instrument are three breakthrough technologies that enable automated delivery of the template Ion Sphere particles. The first is the reaction filter that creates millions of microreactors in which clonal amplification occurs. The second is the fully integrated thermal cycler and disposable path amplification plate that enables robust thermal cycling of the microreactors. The third is the integrated centrifuge, which recovers the template Ion Sphere particles. Altogether this allows the OneTouch2 instrument to deliver massively parallel clonal amplification and recovery, all in a small bench top footprint.

IUL Eddy Jet 2 Spiral Plater-cover
IUL Eddy Jet 2 Spiral Plater

Eddy Jet 2 reduces costs per test, hands on time, and consumable use during counts while increasing  (more)microbiology lab’s productivity. This cutting-edge spiral plater automates, standardizes and streamlines plate inoculations with its patented cross-contamination-free technology. Microsyringes give the system unique, unmatched advantages that make it a bestseller. The user interface is very intuitive and there are no setup times. Although Eddy Jet 2 is mostly used by food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical labs, any microbiology lab can greatly benefit from its use. This instrument will generate a threefold dilution concentration gradient on a single plate, allowing labs to skip serial dilutions and most platings. Each sample is processed with a brand new sterile microsyringe, making sample handling a cross-contamination-free process. Other than bacterial counts, antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) and mutagenicity test applications are also available. Reproducibility: > 99% Time for a full cycle: 30 s (disposable syringes make disinfection unnecessary) Spreading modes stored: 25 spread modes (37 counting those for 150 mm Petri plates) Motion control: 3 Microcontroller-regulated stepper motors Petri plate diameters: 90 and 150 mm Minimum step volume: < 10 nl Maximum pipetted volume: 100 μl Syringe material: Polypropylene Plunger material: Polyethylene H.D.
