Description by the supplier

The FOC200IL is a versatile tool featuring uniformly lit shelves ideal for diverse research applications encompassing plant growth, seed germination, cultivation, insect and animal husbandry, bacterial cultures, and fermentation studies. Each shelf is illuminated by two rows of six LED bars positioned horizontally below the shelf.

The equipment's prime feature is its precise thermo regulation system, ensuring optimal thermal homogeneity and stability (± 0.5°C) throughout its operation. Its eco-friendly cooling system ensures a low operational cost. The temperature is customizable ranging from 3°C to 50°C while uniformly maintained by VELP ventilation technology. The device features a 3-digit digital display with a resolution of 0.1°C.

The FOC200IL is also fitted with an internal transparent door, enabling sample inspection without causing temperature fluctuations. The illuminating cycle timer can be customized as per research requirements. Boasting a capacity of 169 liters, the equipment houses internal sockets for powering auxiliary devices. The user-friendly digital interface facilitates easy instrument setup with its three-button system.

FLC200IL adheres to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) providing constant monitoring and customizable recording time. It is compatible with VELP Ermes and TempSoft ™, with optional TempSoft ™ incorporating high and low alarm thresholds for safety.

The equipment also enables swift and easy calibration. Additionally, it allows control of up to 10 FOC Connects. Users can set work ramps, input desired setpoints, and establish temperature alarm thresholds. With dedicated graphics, the internal temperature can be conveniently monitored. All test data can be exported in numerous formats for thorough scrutiny, and it can be stored as per GLP guidelines.

Milestone Ethos X Microwave Extraction System

The new ETHOS X for the Microwave Green Extraction of Natural Products is available in two different (more) and interchangeable configurations, for fragrances and flavors. The ETHOS X takes advantage of a unique microwave selective heating mechanism to produce effective and consistent results time and time again. The fragrances configuration is based on the solvent-free microwave extraction (SFME) technology for the rapid extraction of essential oils from aromatic herbs, spices and dry seeds. The method involves placing a sample in the microwave reactor. A cooling system outside the microwave continuously condenses the vapors which are collected in a fragrances glassware. The excess of water is refluxed back to the extraction vessel to restore the in-situ water of the sample. The flavors configuration is based on the microwave hydro-diffusion and gravity technology (MHG), a new and green method of essential oils extraction from various aromatic plants. The microwave hydro-diffusion and gravity technology (MHG) combines microwave heating and earth gravity at atmospheric pressure to allow flavors to diffuse outside the plant material. Outside of the microwave oven a cooling system continuously condenses the extract. With both methods, after the essential oils are extracted they can be analyzed directly by GC-MS without any preliminary clean-up or solvent exchange steps.
