The LAUDA Microcool line comprises four ingeniously designed circulation chillers, which present an ideal solution for unwavering, round-the-clock operation in research and laboratory settings, ranging in temperatures from -10 to 40°C. They boast a cooling capacity that spans from 0.25 to 1.2 kW, and are renowned for their trouble-free operation. Each of the chillers features a top-of-the-line centrifugal pump with magnetic coupling, a unique feature that effectively prevents seal-related issues.

The compact MC 250 and MC 350 models are designed to conveniently fit on a laboratory bench, while the larger models, offering 600 and 1200 watts of cooling capacity, can be situated underneath a bench to maximize space efficiency. We also offer the MC 1200 W - our most powerful model - in a water-cooled variant.

The LAUDA Microcool CHILLER comes with a simple-to-use control panel consisting of three buttons, a display, and three LED indicators for heat transfer fluid level, active cooling unit, and device errors.

The backside of the Microcool has conveniently located connections: RS232, drain screw, and external alarm output. Furthermore, the pump features inlet/outlet connections and an overflow connection.

The device is designed with a front liquid level indicator and a fill-cover for ease of use. The Microcool LAUDA front panel is conveniently removable for fast filter maintenance.

Technical visuals:

Nozzle with filler cover, level indicator, operating unit, front panel equipped with ventilation openings, and four feet constitute the front side. The reverse features an overflow connection, pump connections for outflow and return flow, rating label, alarm output, RS 232 interface, power supply, drain screw, and ventilation openings. The control panel boasts a display, LEDs, and control buttons, along with a main switch.

Multiple models (MC600 and MC1200) are equipped with pressure gauges for set pressure readings.

CHOOSE THE SUITABLE ACCESSORY Choosing the right dispersing tool is essential to achieve maximum performance and high reproducibility. VELP dispersion tools are made of stainless steel (316L) and equipped with a PTFE seal, to be compatible with different types of samples and reagents. To handle different fluids, different dispersion tools are required. In some applications it is necessary to use two dispersing tools in order to achieve a final fineness level from coarse to fine. Thanks to a knob and a quick fastening system, inserting and changing the dispersion tool is simple and fast: in seconds you can switch from one application to the next. FOCUS ON THE PRODUCT What is a disperser? The disperser can be called in several different ways: homogenizer; Cell Lysor, High Shear Mixer, Polytron, Stator Rotor Homogenizer, Sonicizer or Tissue Tear. The various nomenclatures are due to the various uses of this tool and you have different results that can be obtained through the accessories. Essentially, a disperser is used to create a uniform mixture by forcing the sample through a narrow, confined space. Blade homogenizers, such as Velp's OV 625 Digital, use the blades as a rotor for dispersing. How does it work? The dispersing tool consists of a rotor rotating at high speed inside a stationary stator. The area between the rotor tip and the stator slot is called the shear gap. Thanks to the high circumferential velocity, the fluid is drawn axially into the dispersion head and forced radially through the cutting gap, breaking up the particles.
