The BD FACSAria II is a benchtop high-speed flow cytometric cell sorter, expertly engineered by Becton Dickinson. This second-hand system is equipped with a fixed-alignment cuvette flow cell, offering exceptional fluorescence sensitivity relative to other flow cell designs. The optical configuration includes a 488 nm blue solid-state laser, a 635 nm red laser, and a 375 nm near-UV laser, facilitating advanced applications.
Designed for high-speed multicolor sorting, the FACSAria II achieves digital acquisition rates of up to 20,000 events per second, allowing for efficient 4-way cell sorting into 5 or 15 mL tubes, or various well plates, with the option for single or multiple cells per well. Additionally, this system supports multicolor analysis of up to 7 parameters.
