Ohaus mini vortex stirrers OHAUS mini vortex mixers are available in four models, for reliable, gent (more)le, and high-speed mixing. Fixed speed, analog, digital and pulse models. Fixed Speed: Economical choice for vigorous, high-speed, one-touch mixing for repeatable applications. Analog control: adjust the speed as you want, you don't need precise repeatable results; speed control knob with graduation marks between 1 and 10. Digital control: adjust the speed easily and precisely, for repeatable results; control via LED display for speed and time, with buttons for adjusting the default values. Pulse vortex: pulse action that reduces heat generation, ensuring effective cell mixing and fractionation; control via LED display for speed and time, with buttons for adjusting the predefined values and button for impulse control. - In tactile mode, mixing is activated by pressing the cupped head, while the continuous mode allows the use of accessories. The sturdy and stable structure ensures that the unit remains in place during use. - Rugged digital and analog vortex mixers allow for effective speed control, from low-rpm starting for gentle shaking to vigorous, high-speed vortex mixing of samples. Applications Resuspension fluids, mixing reagents, buffers and emulsions, ELISA tests, drug extractions, mixing samples Display Digital Models: Independent LED displays with speed and time information that allow the operator to view both settings simultaneously. Analog Models: Marked knobs for variable speed control. Operation Detachable three-wire cable and plug (included) Structure For all models: Accessory platform of about 7 cm with cup head for beakers, flasks, test tubes, etc ... For pulse model: holder for 12 stainless steel microtubes. Construction features Digital Models: Integrated chip control maintains set speed for constant mixing. Not sure which agitator to choose? Sonics Vibra Cell VC375 Ultrasonic Processor-cover
Sonics Vibra Cell VC375 Ultrasonic Processor

The Sonics VC-375 is an ultrasonic generator which converts 50/60 Hz voltage to high frequency elect (more)rical energy. This alternating voltage is applied to disc-shaped ceramic piezoelectric crystals within the converter, causing them to expand and contract with each change of polarity. These high-frequency longitudinal mechanical vibrations are amplified by the probe (horn) and transmitted into the liquid as alternating high and low pressure waves. The pressure fluctuations cause the liquid molecule cohesive forces to break down, pulling apart the liquid and creating millions of micro-bubbles (cavities), which expand during the low pressure phases, and implode violently during the high pressure phases. As the bubbles collapse, millions of microscopic shock waves, micro jet streams, eddies and extremes in pressures and temperatures are generated at the implosion sites and propagated to the surrounding medium. Although this phenomenon, known as cavitation, lasts but a few microseconds, and the amount of energy released by each individual bubble is minimal, the cumulative amount of energy generated by the imploding cavities is extremely high and many times that generated in an ultrasonic bath. When used with environmentally safe aqueous cleaning solutions, the Vibra-Cell becomes a powerful cleaning tool, capable of removing the most tenacious contaminants from normally inaccessible locations. Unlike ultrasonic baths, which dissipate the vibrational energy over a large area, the Vibra-Cell probe focuses the energy to create a concentrated, high intensity cleaning zone. Probe horn not included.
