We were unable to test as there is a hole in the front tank. The alarm sounds from the low water level, but the hole doesn't allow it to be filled. It is sold for spares/repairs.

We filled the tank but the alarm kept flashing. The circulator would work for a few seconds but then it would stop. It also made an electrical buzzing sound.
