This instrument uses a flow-through narrow tube known as the column, through which different chemical constituents of a sample pass in a gas stream (carrier gas, mobile phase); the constituents move at different rates depending on their various chemical and physical properties and their interaction with a specific column filling, called the stationary phase. As the chemicals exit the end of the column, they are detected and identified electronically. The function of the stationary phase in the column is to separate different components, causing each one to exit the column at a different time (retention time). Other parameters that can be used to alter the order or time of retention are the carrier gas flow rate and the temperature. BEST SELLER SINCE 1983 In laboratories all over the world, from universities to research centers and (more) industrial laboratories, you can find an ARE Velp magnetic stirrer. Thanks to the 5 series version, Velp renews once again one of their flagship products. RESISTANCE, SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE The plate of the ARE 5 Velp model is IP42 certified and is made of aluminum alloy, with a diameter of 135 mm, which guarantees a homogeneous temperature and optimal heat transfer over the entire surface. Safety circuits and overtemperature protection guarantee complete protection for the operators. Two light indicators inform the user when the heating function is active. Even when the instrument is switched off, an indicator light remains on until the plate temperature drops below 50°C. The plate structure and the insulating disc protect the internal parts and ensure high resistance to the most demanding laboratory environments and applications, for example when working with cold fluids (below 0°C). ARE 5 is designed to last over time and like most Velp products it is guaranteed for 3 years. PRECISE SHAKING ARE 5 is equipped with a powerful brushless motor for daily applications, being able to agitate up to 15 liters (H2O). It is also equipped with SpeedServo™ technology, which allows the speed to be kept constant even when the viscosity of the sample varies. APPLICATIONS ARE 5 is the ideal solution for temperature sensitive applications in many industrial sectors and academic laboratories. THE ARE CONTROL PANEL: BEAUTIFUL AND SIMPLE TO USE By turning the left knob it will be possible to adjust the temperature up to 310°C, while with the right one it will be possible to set the stirring speed from 100 to 1500 rpm.
