The unit powers on and has been tested with a digital thermometer (not included). Set at 4ºC our thermometer read 4ºCSet at -10ºC our thermometer read -4.8ºCThe unit had been running for a number of hours and settled at -4.8ºC Set at 22ºC our thermometer read 22.9ºCSet  at 30ºC our thermometer read 30.9ºC The unit is lockable however there is no key supplied with this unit. This Varian TV-301 was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements. We have t (more)ested this turbo pump using an Avian Turbo V-250 controller, Two stage vacuum pump and Edwards penning gauge for 30 minutes (Not included). It runs smoothly and achieved the pressure of 2x10^-5 mtorr with our set up. It is in great cosmetic condition with only minor usage marks.
