The Bio-Rad Mini-Sub Cell GT Electrophoresis Cell is a versatile and efficient tool for resolving DNA fragments using handcast agarose gels or ReadyAgarose precast gels. Equipped with a buffer tank, safety lid with cables, and a leveling bubble, this electrophoresis unit is a staple in educational and research settings. The cell supports gel trays measuring either 7 x 7 cm or 7 x 10 cm, accommodating easy setup for collaborative student projects with two 8-well combs in a 10 cm agarose gel. With a streamlined 30-minute runtime at 100 V, it efficiently separates DNA fragments ranging from 20 to 20,000 base pairs. The electrophoresis cell supports mini format ReadyAgarose gels, with a sample throughput ranging from 8 to 30. It features a base buffer volume of approximately 270 ml and operates without buffer recirculation. It measures 120 x 260 x 65 mm and weighs 1 kg, making it an accessible choice for benchtop use. The bromophenol blue migration rate is 4.5 cm/hr at 75 V, ensuring consistent and rapid results for all your electrophoretic needs.
