The MiSeq System offers the first DNA-to-data sequencing platform integrating cluster generation, am (more)plification, sequencing, and data analysis into a single instrument. Its small footprint—approximately two square feet—fits easily into virtually any laboratory environment. The MiSeq System leverages Illumina sequencing by synthesis (SBS) chemistry, a proven next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology responsible for generating more than 90% of the world’s sequencing data.1 With the power of NGS delivered in a compact footprint, the MiSeq System is the ideal platform for rapid and cost-effective genetic analysis. Extensive suite of applications Explore an ever increasing range of sequencing applications. With faster turnaround time and simplified workflows, the MiSeq System offers a cost-effective alternative to sequencing by capillary electrophoresis and qPCR for applications such as targeted resequencing, clone checking, amplicon sequencing, and RNA expression. Local Run Manager Software and BaseSpace Sequence Hub offer optimized analysis workflows for small genome sequencing, 16S metagenomics, RNA sequencing, targeted resequencing, and preimplantation genetic screening (PGS), as well as highly multiplexed applications such as amplicon sequencing with AmpliSeq™ for Illumina panels. Adjustable read lengths, flow cell options, and choice of single or paired-end reads allow flexibility for matching data output to a broad range of experimental needs.

Christ Epsilon 2-10D LSCpIus MC Basic freeze dryer-cover
Christ Epsilon 2-10D LSCpIus MC Basic freeze dryer

The freeze dryer is in excellent condition and barely used. The Epsilon 2-10D LSCplus MC Basic is a  (more)comprehensive and advanced freeze-drying system designed to meet the rigorous demands of pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications. This robust system features a 3 × 400 V, 50 Hz electrical configuration, operating as an air-cooled double-chamber system with an ice condenser located behind the drying chamber. It includes five shelves and an additional radiation plate, offering a total shelf surface area of 0.70 m² with a shelf spacing of 57 mm. The shelves, chamber, and other product-contacting components are crafted from high-quality stainless steel (316L/Ti), ensuring durability and compatibility with sensitive applications. Each shelf measures 350 × 400 mm, and the ice condenser boasts a volume of approximately 50 liters with inner dimensions of 460 × 470 × 230 mm, supporting a maximum ice capacity of 10 kg and a performance of up to 8 kg in 24 hours. The ice condenser operates at temperatures as low as -85°C and is visible through a sight glass for convenient monitoring. The system is powered by two independent refrigeration units, delivering 0.9 kW and 2 × 1.2 kW of cooling power via a cascade system. CFC-free refrigerants are employed, highlighting the unit's environmental compliance. Liquid temperature-controlled shelves offer a range from -60°C to +60°C, with initial main drying phases operating around -50°C. Additional features include a stainless steel aeration valve, rapid hot-gas defrosting for efficient condenser heating, and a vacuum sensor (Pirani). The system also incorporates three product sensors, a LyoRx sensor, and LyoControl to enhance process reliability. The stand-alone configuration set includes a closed cabinet design with the integrated LSCplus controller, featuring a symbol-driven color touchscreen interface. Users can opt for automatic or manual freeze-drying sequences and define programs with up to 64 steps. Pre-installed sequences and recipes simplify operation, while real-time graphical monitoring provides detailed insight into the freeze-drying process. The system can store up to 32 user-defined programs and supports multi-language functionality, customizable units, and password protection with up to three levels of security. Process data acquisition and documentation are streamlined through USB or Ethernet connections, with options for process documentation via LyoLogplus or LPCplus. Advanced technologies such as the LyoRx sensor ensure reliable monitoring, and LyoControl facilitates automatic freezing point determination for enhanced process control. An optional WTMplus system offers wireless specimen temperature measurement for greater handling ease. Additional components include an electro-hydraulic sealing device for vial stoppering under vacuum or inert gas, featuring a vacuum-tight servo drive for precise operation of the ice condenser valve. A motorized intermediate valve, solvent-resistant and designed to manage the interface between the ice condenser and drying chamber, ensures efficient drying end-point determination based on pressure increases. Electromagnetic pressure and stop valves, as well as a solvent-resistant air injection precision needle valve, contribute to precise pressure control through regulated gas admission. The vacuum pump operates at 230 V, 50/60 Hz, with a suction capacity of 9 m³/h and a final vacuum of 0.005 mbar, and includes an exhaust filter for added functionality. The Epsilon 2-10D LSCplus MC Basic is a sophisticated freeze-drying system that combines precision, reliability, and flexibility, making it a valuable asset for critical applications requiring high-quality results.
