The advanced OHAUS Scout scale can be optionally fitted with diverse connectivity features such as RS232, USB, USB device, Ethernet, or Bluetooth®. These options elevate the student experience to a technologically advanced and efficient level, enhancing precision and efficiency.

Including a transport lock, a stainless steel weighing pan, a menu and adjustment lockout switch, software, and mechanical overload/underload protection, a stability indicator, auto tare, low battery indicator, auto power-off user-selectable print options, and communication settings.
- Weighing: Accurately compute the sample weight in your chosen unit of measure.
- Density determination: Appropriately determine the density of solids or liquids. The built-in "weigh below" hook allows the testing of specific gravity for items that don't fit the weighing pan.
- Molar Concentration: Facilitates the calculation of a sample's mass and automatically converts it to the molar concentration.

The Scout balance's outstanding overload protection boasts of a high-strength stainless steel weighing pan and an impact-resistant plastic pan support. The system allows the balance to safely handle loads up to ten times its rated capacity, ensuring longevity even in demanding educational environments. Moreover, the integrated transport lock safeguards the load cell against damage during stacking, transport, and storage.
