The Jasco FP-920 is a sophisticated fluorescence detector designed for precise spectroscopic analysis. It is equipped with a monochromator featuring a holographic concave diffraction grating for both excitation (Ex) and emission (Em) pathways, ensuring high-quality light dispersion. Powered by a 150 W xenon lamp, the FP-920 covers a comprehensive wavelength range of 220 to 650 nm, suitable for a wide variety of applications.
The device offers excellent wavelength accuracy of 2 nm and repeatability of 0.3 nm, enhanced by its advanced photodiode and photomultiplier detectors for the excitation and emission pathways, respectively. Users can seamlessly switch spectrum bandwidths for the excitation monochromator (18 nm) and emission monochromator (10, 16, 40 nm) via keypad inputs to suit their analytical needs.
The FP-920 supports a flowcell capacity of 16 µL, utilizing robust solvent-wetted materials like synthetic silica, fluororesin, PEEK, and stainless steel for durability and chemical resistance. It features a versatile measurement range and adjustable gain settings up to x1000, complemented by a choice of response modes (Fast, Standard, Slow, and digital filter method) to align with varied experimental requirements.
The instrument's digital signal processing is facilitated by A/D and D/A converters, complete with ambient temperature compensation circuits, ensuring reliable and precise data output. It provides outputs for recorders (10 mV/FS, with changeable polarity) and integrators (1 V/FS), supported by single circuits each for marker and leak outputs, and inputs for marker and autozero functions.
Additional flexibility is offered through the program functions, which allow for time-based control over parameters like Ex and Em wavelengths, gain, attenuation, and wavelength scanning. Users can perform Ex and Em spectrum measurements either manually or programmatically, with the ability to store 10 spectra each for Ex and Em, and output difference spectra.
Compact and robust, the FP-920 has dimensions of 300 x 150 x 460 mm and weighs 19 kg, making it a reliable choice for laboratory environments demanding high precision fluorescence analysis.
