Thermometers

Scientific thermometers are an important piece of equipment to monitor experiments in scientific research as well as industrial processes. There is a large amount of different models for general usage or to accurately measure the temperature within a narrow range. Different instruments measure the temperature using infrared sensors or through rigid or flexible probes. Digital devices typically have settings to adjust (more) minimum and maximum temperature, gradients, timers and other paramters. Depending on the application, measurement probes can be optimised to withstand extreme chemical and physical conditions. Newer models can often also be connected through a smartphone or computer to record time-series and monitor the temperature at a distance.
